Native from Burkina Faso, Siaka Soppo Traoré was born in Douala in 1986. He grew up in Togo before settling in the Senegal to follow his graduate studies.

After getting his Civil Engineering Certificat in Dakar, as a true autodidact, he starts photography from 2011 on. 

Fascinated by dance, its photographic work turns naturally to the body languages on stage, but its center of interest does not cease widening towards new territories. 

In 2015, he exhibits for the Photoquay at Quay Branly the Museum.

The Gallery MAM introduces its photos in 1: 54 London, in the "OFF" Contemporary Art Senegalese Biennial, Dak' Art, and in AKAA in 2016, where his work “Dans Ce" won the Orange Achievement Award for Digital photography.
