Bibi Seck is co-founder of the Design Studio and innovation Birsel + Seck and founder of Dakar Next, a Design Studio-Laboratory based in Dakar, in the Senegal. Bibi was born in Paris and completed his training in London, Paris and Dakar. In 1990 he obtained his master’s degree in industrial design at ESDI, in Paris.

Before establishing in New York in 2003, for 12 years, Bibi was main designer for Renault. He has an extensive experience with materials and manufacture. He manages big conception teams in solving compound glitches.

Bibi Seck managed the internal conception teams for several automobiles production, notably the models Scenic I, Twingo II, Traffic and Scenic II. Scenic I  (1996) and Traffic (2002) were awarded Car of the Year by the specialized European Press. Working for Renault, Bibi conceived the watch F1 Micrograph for Tag Heuer, which won the 2002 prestigious Price of Geneva Watchmaking. 

Bibi taught at the Strate College School of Design and Management in Paris at Technological University of Compiègne and, more recently, in the Pratt Institute. Native from Senegal, Bibi commits to apply the good practices of conception in Western Africa, showing so the value of design as economic resource in developing countries.
